North Texas Chapter to Host Presentation on The Value Chain
Collaboration Movement
DALLAS,
May 20, 2002 - Members of the APICS, North Texas Chapter,
the educational society for resource management, will learn
how to position their companies for the value chain collaboration
movement at the June Professional Development Meeting.
The featured speaker, Ginger Luttrell, president of LTC (Luttrell
Training and Consulting), will address the opportunities and
challenges of opening internal systems to interface with customers'
and suppliers' networks. The presentation will explore the
key tips to successfully creating a seamless e-business infrastructure,
through operational process alignment. Methods for aligning
business processes, systems and employees to decrease hidden
and non-value added work, increase time-to-market response,
improve productivity and create a culture and system based
on accountability will be discussed. .
The June meeting will be held on Thursday, June 6 at the Crowne
Plaza Hotel, 14315 Midway Road, Dallas. The program will be
from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m., following the First Annual Supplier
Night, which will start at 5:45 p.m. Reservations are required
and attendance is $20 for members and non-members.
